What is Nutritional Ketosis?

The program is designed to gradually prepare the individual to enter Nutritional Ketosis.  Put simply, it is a metabolic state in which your body has adapted to oxidizing fat instead of carbohydrates as its primary source of fuel.  Your body becomes Keto-adapted when carbohydrate intake is restricted to less than about 50g/day for a couple of weeks.
The following is a typical macronutrient breakdown of total caloric intake for someone who is maintaining a keto-diet:

60-75% of calories from fat
15-30% of calories from protein
5-10% of calories from carbs
